Crawford County Jail Roster
The official local roster is the Crawford County Jail Population Report. It is a public portal with no login observed during research. The portal is hosted by Synergistic Software and is treated as official because Crawford sheriff materials point users to it as the jail population report. It has three useful views: Current Inmates, 24 Hours Arrests, and Inmates by Arrest Date.
Use Current Inmates first when the question is whether someone is in Crawford County Jail now. Use 24 Hours Arrests for very recent bookings. Use Inmates by Arrest Date when the search starts with the date rather than the name. The roster does not publish a refresh schedule, so a phone call is better than a screen view for bond deadlines, release timing, or travel to the jail.
The jail population report shows the roster tabs and name-filter tools used for Crawford County inmate records.
The roster is the best first source for local custody, but it is not a full jail file and does not replace records requests or court case searches.
Search Crawford County Inmates
A name search can be broad, especially when the roster has more than one page of results. One inspection showed page 1 of 3 with 25 items. Start simple, then narrow. If spelling is uncertain, try the last name alone before adding a first name.
- Open the Crawford County Jail Population Report.
- Select Current Inmates for a present-custody check.
- Enter the last name, then add the first name only if needed.
- Review 24 Hours Arrests or Inmates by Arrest Date if the booking is new or date-based.
- Open a matching entry and read the status, arrest date, agency, total bond, and charges.
- Call the sheriff/jail at (478) 836-3116 if the record is missing or the result affects bond or release.
Crawford County Roster Search Fields
The local roster does not visibly accept booking number, date of birth, race, sex, charge, agency, or housing-unit filters. Its public search field design supports a blank roster browse or a name filter.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Filter By Inmate Name | Section label | No | Search may be blank or narrowed by name. |
| last name | Text | No | No wildcard or minimum-character rule was published. |
| first name | Text | No | Use after a last-name search if results are broad. |
| Current Inmates | Tab/link | No | Shows people currently booked. |
| 24 Hours Arrests | Tab/link | No | Shows a separate recent-arrest view. |
| Inmates by Arrest Date | Tab/link | No | Supports date-based review. |
| Search Inmates | Submit button | n/a | Runs the filter or search. |
Crawford County Inmate Profile Fields
A public Crawford County inmate profile is a summary of custody and charge information. It should be read with care. A charge on the jail roster is an allegation or booking charge, not proof of guilt, and a bond field is not a guarantee that a person can be released by paying that amount.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Photo area | A photo area or placeholder exists, but an actual booking photo was not confirmed on inspected entries. |
| Name and status | Full roster name and custody status, including CURRENTLY BOOKED in observed entries. |
| Demographics | Sex, height, and weight; address was redacted in public view. |
| Arrest date and agency | Arrest date with agency shown after a dash in inspected entries. |
| Days in jail | Number of days in custody at the time of roster inspection. |
| Total bond | Can show a dollar amount, NOT SET, or DENIED. |
| Charges | Warrant number, counts, statute, description, M/F marker, and court field. |
Crawford County Jail Bond Fields
The roster's Total Bond field is one of the most important Crawford County inmate record fields. A dollar amount may still need confirmation because other holds can block release. NOT SET means the amount may be pending, not entered, or unavailable in the public field. DENIED means ordinary bond payment is not available as shown on the roster.
Crawford Magistrate Court handles first appearances, bond hearings, preliminary hearings, and warrant functions. The court page lists Magistrate Court at 100 GA Hwy 42 South in Knoxville with phones (478) 836-5804 and (478) 836-4439. The sheriff sources did not publish a bond window, online bond vendor, payment-method list, or after-hours bond instructions. Call the jail before arranging payment.
Bond check: A roster amount is not the full release answer if an immigration detainer, another-agency hold, or court order blocks release.
Crawford County Records Requests
The sheriff pages inspected did not publish a standalone open-records form, fee table, or processing schedule. The strongest local records route is the sheriff's Records Clerk page. Records Clerk Rachel Wilkinson is listed as responsible for civil records, traffic citations, open records, and the county sex-offender registry. The main sheriff phone is also the practical fallback when a roster entry is unclear.
Georgia's Open Records Act applies to existing public records, but it does not require an agency to create a new report that does not exist. Pending law-enforcement or prosecution records may be exempt or redacted under O.C.G.A. Section 50-18-72. Jail records also have a specific sheriff record statute, O.C.G.A. Section 42-4-7.
A request should identify the person by full name, give the arrest date or approximate booking date if known, and state whether the request is for the public roster entry, an arrest or incident report, a booking-photo question, or another existing record. Do not ask the sheriff's office to create a custom report unless the office offers that service, because Georgia open-records rules focus on existing records. If the record relates to a pending prosecution, expect redactions or a referral to the court or prosecutor.
The sheriff's Records Clerk page is the local open-records reference for Crawford County inmate records.
Use that records channel for copies or questions that the public roster does not answer.
Crawford County Jail Visitation
Current Crawford sheriff pages inspected do not publish a full current visitation schedule, dress code, ID rule, video-visitation vendor, child-visitor policy, commissary vendor, mail format, or phone vendor. A legacy sheriff detention page listed Saturday 2-5 PM and Tuesday 4-7 PM visitation, one 30-minute visit each visitation day, and cash-account notes. Because that policy was not visible on the current WordPress detention page, treat it as a legacy detail that must be confirmed.
| Item | Official Detail Found |
|---|---|
| Current schedule | Not published on the current sheriff detention page inspected. |
| Legacy schedule | Tuesday 4-7 PM and Saturday 2-5 PM, confirm before relying. |
| Visit length | Legacy source says one 30-minute visit each visitation day, confirm. |
| Video visitation | No current official vendor located. |
| Mail rules | No full current official local policy located. |
| Money deposits | No current official vendor or fee table located. |
| Official fallback | Call (478) 836-3116. |
Crawford County Custody Channels
County jail records are for local custody. The GDC Find an Offender landing page and direct offender query are used after a person is sentenced to state custody. GDC can show offender identifiers, crime, tentative parole month, and location, but GDC says transfer dates are not provided for security reasons.
Federal and immigration searches are different again. The BOP locator covers federal sentenced prisoners from 1982 forward. ICE ODLS searches current immigration detention and CBP custody held more than 48 hours. VINELink is useful for notification and custody-status alerts. No official Crawford County, Georgia sheriff or police app was found.
GDC's search form has more filters than the county roster, including name, gender, race, age range, most recent institution, offense, conviction county, active or inactive scope, and identifier type. That broader search is useful for past custody research, but it should not replace the county jail report for a fresh Crawford County arrest.
